Do your DC do anything for Remembrance Sunday?

Crafts or other things?

In normal times I would go to church. But they are back to being zoom and prerecorded services.

This year we have coloured poppy pictures for the window and will watch the TV coverage tomorrow standing outside at 11

The dc made a clay poppy at school.

At home I've tried to explain my beliefs as a pacifist and what a conscientious objector is.

DS(16) normally does the Remembrance Sunday service with Cubs, then Scouts and now Explorers unless he's working. If he is working he's expected to join us at the village service. He's not expected to do the whole church service after, but we've always been clear that he should be prepared to give up a few minutes of his time annually in remembrance.

Tomorrow the service will be on the village green as usual and we will be able to easily socially distance.

DS(15) has done the parade with his scout group through Beavers to Explorers. First year to miss it since he was 6
