Bring me your daily moans

I need to hear what's got you annoyed today, real first world problem moans that we know aren't terrible in the grand scheme of things but stuff that's just pissed you off!

I'll start

3 year old spat chocolate out all over his freshly washed coat

DP puts pin badge on the same coat for DS (when I wasn't around) and puts a hole in it, he's had it 1 week Angry

DP has re-plastered our bedroom ceiling because he made a mess of it the first time and has got watery plaster splodges on 3/4 of the carpet, it's brand new and has been down a week (he did put a sheet down but it went through it)

We were supposed to be having an indoor date night tonight but I'm currently having a break from scrubbing the carpet so the thought of getting semi dressed up is adding to my annoyance

DS took a blue chalk into the new car, even though I expressly told him not to

DH seemed annoyed at having to do any actual parenting

In other news, my new Christmas mug is perfect!

baubled · 07/11/2020 17:52

@grassisjeweled I don't even want to think about what that would have done to the car!

I like that you added a positive in Grin a Christmas mug would have made my day a little better!

My DS has also slipped and smacked his face off the corner of the door frame and has the biggest bruise of his life from above the corner of his eye all down his cheek 😢

The cat has had a total of four poos in her litter tray in 12 hours. The first one as soon as I had put brand new litter in. Angry

DS1 (21) reads my texts but never bothers replying. Sad I know this means he is ok but still...

DS1 did this in shower the night before school photos when he was in Primary. The steri strips on his chin look delightful in the photos.

OH has the mildest common cold going, he doesn’t look ill at all, hasn’t even sniffed. But he keeps moaning about how bloody ill he is.

he’s told me 4 times in one hour “I’m so ill” even if he was down with flu just shuuttttuppppp and get on with it. Jesus Christ.

Purplecatshopaholic · 07/11/2020 18:26

DP has just ordered yet more books online. They will no doubt go onto the growing pile currently on the coffee table and remain there, unread.. Driving me demented!
Having washed a favourite tee shirt twice today now, the butter stain still hasn’t come out..
On the plus side, I was about to order a really nice but expensive skirt, when I belatedly remembered I already have one very similar .... oh and Trump is out (obvs!)

NameChangingShame · 07/11/2020 18:30

DP had the cheek to tell me to be nicer to him!😱

baubled · 07/11/2020 18:35

@NameChangingShame mine would go through the roof if I had put holes in new coats or even dropped a bit of plaster on the carpet, basically if the situations were reversed it would be hell! Is he mad at himself? No. Would he be mad at me if I kicked off? Absolutely!

Our local "professional singer" is now taking bookings for driveway Christmas shows. We have the misfortune to live near him and had to suffer his weekly lockdown shows on his front garden. Lots of locals seem to love him but I get rage just thinking about the insufferable twat! He's bloody awful! I sound like a right miserable fecker but I'm really not Grin

Whenlifegivesyoulimoncello · 07/11/2020 18:51

My click and collect order swapped by lovely Sancerre for a horrible Chardonnay.

Whenlifegivesyoulimoncello · 07/11/2020 18:52

@ShipshapeShore it sounds like you need my wine more than I do.

Not much of a moan but one patient's mother came in. Very inpatient, Brought stuff for her daughter. . She knows that with Covid , she cannot waltz in without an appointment to see her daughter. She then asked to see her. I reminded her of the appointment system. Apparently , the ward she wanted are not allowing ANY visitors at the moment

.She had seen someone go through, to another ward and got really annoyed. I said that the ward she wanted to visit had made that decision and suggested she take it up with whoever comes to collect the stuff from her. She also wanted to take some stuff back. I warned her if it was clothing they might not give it back because of covid. This happened in the last lock down. She kept asking why not , although I had told her why, and I suggested she ask whoever on the ward came down to collect stuff from her.

She later rung up to ask how she could complain about me. I happily gave her details.

At the moment things are very trying because of very short staffing. New people don't seem up to scratch and we get shouted at because no one can get through to the wards.

It is fun here!

Deathraystare · 07/11/2020 18:55

I should stress most of the visitors are lovely!

Found the boot and back seat of my car soaked last night. Looks like there is a leak somewhere in the boot. So DH and I have spent the day trying to dry it out with little electric heaters. Didn't get it fully dry and tomorrow it's supposed to rain so don't know what is going to happen.

Along with drying the car out we've had to spend the day blitzing the house with toddler DS underfoot wanting to help, as we have a viewing on Monday for the first time in a month.

And just I was about to sit down for tea the upstairs smoke alarm started with the odd beep. It's right outside DS's bedroom so would keep him awake. I could just about reach to get the battery out but not to put the new one in. DH can deal with it when he gets home from work. I've had enough.

Dd age 13 has stained my nice white bathroom suite on bath and toilet seat with permanent marker because she tried to dye her hair with a white board pen. She tells me this doesnt matter and I am making a fuss, i told her she needs to get it off as much as possible and respect furniture and bathrooms etc in the future.

Dc think I am their personal slave and nothing I do or say will persuade them to help round the home. Taking internet and tech away makes no difference.

Now my new internet has decided it is not going to connect to my pc despite connecting perfectly for two weeks. (Odd one worked perfectly also. Had to change it as I moved home). I have troubleshooted with no luck. It is impossible to move pc close enough to the router because of where phone line is so I have had to fork out for extra long ethernet cable so I can wfh. I hope cable will arrive Monday.

@allPurplecatshopaholic Try ironing it between layers of kitchen towel.

Mollypolly2610 · 08/11/2020 18:07

@Purplecatshopaholic

I find Elbow Grease gets rid of grease on clothes.
