What do I want from the shop (self-isolation snacks!)

I’m self-isolating for 9 days after receiving a notification on the NHS app, this is day 4. I’m used to being able to pop to the shop and wander round choosing whatever takes my fancy! I’m also 22 weeks pregnant so no alcohol (and other restricted stuff... Brie... sniff SadGrin) but can pretty much guilt-free snack on other stuff. DP is going for me... what shall I ask for?! Without everything laid out in front of me, I can’t think!
Ideas for crisps, chocolate, sweets and others snacks all welcome Grin

Frazzles and onion rings to be eaten in rotation!

IHaveBrilloHair · 07/11/2020 15:50

Smoky barbecue graze boxes are my current favourite, and the lemon olives from Tesco if he's going there.

I'm a savoury snacker so I'd go for

Definitely bacon frazzles!

Cheese balls (crisps)
Smoked almonds
All the cheese- with some fancy crackers and chutney
Little gherkins
Bombay mix
Grapes
Dips- baba ghanoush is my favourite- with pitta and veg sticks

MumandnotMum · 07/11/2020 15:55

BBQ pop chips and penn state salted pretzels.

PhylisPrice · 07/11/2020 15:58

Reeces peanut butter cups, something fizzy to drink (I love rubicon drinks!), tortilla chips and dips, jam doughnuts, oooh maybe a milkshake? I deffo wouldn't eat/drink all this at once 🤢 maybe some ideas for you though!

BabyMoonPie · 07/11/2020 15:58

Sour cream Pringles and maltesers truffles

LittleRa · 07/11/2020 15:58

Ooh above suggested of ice cream... your suggestion of Reece’s... see where I’m going? In the words of Joey “put your hands together!” Ben and Jerry’s peanut better cup 😋

Yes! Love savoury snacks. I might request avocados and ingredients for making guacamole and some tortilla crisps.

Juanbablo · 07/11/2020 16:03

Whenlifegivesyoulimoncello · 07/11/2020 16:05

If you thinking ice-cream it really must be B&J Birthday cake.

User478 · 07/11/2020 16:07

Baked in store chocolate chip cookies.
Put them in the microwave for 5 seconds then have with a scoop of ice cream.

I don’t have a microwave 😭 Will this work in the oven?!

Maltesers (no calories in them apparently!)
Cheese footballs (if any of the shops have started to get them in for Christmas)
Houmous/dips with pitta or tortilla chips plus ready-cut carrot sticks to pretend you're healthy
Raspberries or blueberries to actually be healthy whilst having something lovely
Honey-roast cashews

IHaveBrilloHair · 07/11/2020 16:11

Asda sell cookie dough so you can bake fresh cookies in about 20 minutes, it comes in a long roll so you just slice it.

waltzingparrot · 07/11/2020 16:16

Honey roast nuts, Kettle Chips and mini sausage rolls.

LittleRa · 07/11/2020 16:21

Ok he’s going now... I’ve given him lots of your suggestions and broad areas so will see what he comes back with!! 🤞🤞
We’re doing a quiz online with friends tonight that we did during the first lockdown and it’s back now we’re back in lockdown! So need snacks for during that. I’ve got loads of DD’s Halloween candy leftover but it’s all rubbish chocolate and cheap gummies that aren’t appealing to me...

Let us know what he returned withGrin

LittleRa · 07/11/2020 17:41

Oooh, he’s outdone himself! Not only has he brought snacks from the shop (I’ll list them in a sec), he also stopped off at the chippy for chips!! And scraps!! (Aka batter, or bits, or whatever you call them where you are Grin)!!

OP posts:
PurpleDaisies · 07/11/2020 17:42

Scrumpy bits here op! I am very envious. He’s done a very good job.
