What's it like trying to get one? I'm guessing super crazy normally and even worse this year?

I am waiting for a sainsburys slot for 23rd Dev which I think I can book on 2nd dec.

I wasn’t going to bother renewing my delivery pass this year but forgot to cancel the renewal. So glad I got one though as it was a lifesaver in March/lockdown but I have also managed to injure my shoulder so lifting heavy bags is out.

I'm waiting for tesco slots to be released. But word of warning to those holding a slot with just a few items - I had a Sainsbury's slot a couple years ago and went to update it nearer the actual day. I got a notice that if I changed it I would loose the items in my cart that had since become unavailable (including the turkey)! So i stopped immediately.

Ooh gosh I had forgotten I started this!

Thanks for the answers.

I've been doing Tesco since start of lockdown 1 and now have the saver thing. I was wary of the slots starting at 7 and wondering if it was one where you had to get in the queue ridiculously before then. Or rather when the queue is likely to start?

In lockdown I'd get in the queue as early as I could some weeks but not get anything even though we had vulnerable priority. Assumed Christmas would be worse?!

That sounds ridiculous @Pipandmum !

I'd assume that if you edit your basket over time, things will come back in and out of it? As in, right now the turkey is out of stock but soon it won't be?

I’ve booked a Waitrose one a couple of weeks ago although I don’t normally shop there but just in case because I can’t bear the shops around Christmas. Might cancel if I can get one from Tesco or Asda.
