I'm just about recovering from discovering a grey pube the other week and now we have tonight's new ritual of taking turns applying aches and pains gel just so we can get in the damn bed. Let alone actually do anything when we're in it. God knows how decrepit I'm going to be in another 10 years 🙄.

I'm the same age and wish it was just the one grey pube now if that helps you feel better. Took 4 proper thick deep-rooted pure-white eyebrow hairs out yesterday and I swear they appeared out of nowhere. I've stopped looking as much elsewhere because at least it's just me and DH if he's lucky seeing the pubes so I can just pretend they're not there now.

MushMonster · 07/11/2020 00:30

My husband and me joke about us trying when we are older so oftenGrin
We have been on the pain killers gel massage for a while nowGrin

DinosApple · 07/11/2020 07:48

Lol that made me laugh.
I hurt my neck so badly I couldn't twist my head left, right, up or down and couldn't lift a cup of tea to my lips with my left hand, for three days.

What had I done?... I sat on the sofa 'funny' and looked at my phone. It's the same way I have sat on the sofa and looked at my phone for the last 10-15 years! I'm 37.

StarlightLady · 07/11/2020 07:56

Maybe that’s the subconscious reason why l remove my pubes, so l’ll never know if l have a grey one!

It’s that loud click of the leg (40s now) and the stiffness in the neck that makes me wonder.

Graciebobcat · 07/11/2020 08:07

Bloody hell. I say this kindly, as I know it's a light-hearted thread, but if you are both able-bodied and have no ongoing health conditions you should be concerned to be getting these kinds of issues in your 30s and 40s, though it is very common. Treat the twinges as a wake-up call.

I'd seriously recommend starting something like yoga or pilates - gently - to strengthen your bodies.

PuddleglumtheMarshWiggle · 07/11/2020 08:24

Don't worry about it OP. By the time you're my age (56) your eyesight will be deteriorating and you'll need glasses to be able to see what colour your pubes are Grin
One year dh and I both did our backs in as we were setting off to the airport. I was tying my shoelaces and he bent to pick up a newspaper. Luckily, teenage dd was with us and she had to lift our cases on and off the conveyor belt. And it was only a weekend trip so they were the small cases!

autumnboys · 07/11/2020 08:58

There’s a scene in one foot in the grave, where one of them says to the other something like ‘this is what live comes down to then’ as they spray one another with deep heat. Teenage me was perplexed by it, although my parents found it hilarious. I get it now though. I once had to fetch a grey-faced DH from Cub Camp where he’d been helping, but had put his back out retrieving a dropped sausage.

What is wrong with people?
He is 55 (and very tall), I am 62, we do not need anything like this!
