A couple now in DD room.

Size of a grain of rice. White body, blacker tail. Legs. Lots!

Sectioned body. Moves pretty fast.

I don't know where to begin a Google if we have some sort of pest. Grin

The spikes hairy bits seem excessive in my photo zoom. More maggoty am than the picture.

‘Woolly bear’ / carpet beetle larva

loveisenough · 07/11/2020 00:06

Was also going to say woolly bear

chuffedasbuttons · 07/11/2020 00:11

Eeek.
Had carpet moth before. Is it related?

No wool carpet in the house (maybe under the synthetic shit the previous owner put down to sell)

Yes as pp that is a carpet beetle larvae.

Massive thanks all

I've had a different moth eat the buggers out my carpet before in a Victorian house...
Not seen this type crawling up the wall before.
DD spends too much time in her room with the dog. Clearly fodder for the beetle larvae.

Whole room will be stripped and hoovered tomorrow and already ordered Formula C spray.

Thanks again
