Am I being picky?

Not real name but similar.

My dd is called Caroline but over time school mates, family have started to call her Caro which is fine.

Is it ok for me to remind school that if the communication is 'official' such as reports, certificates and important letters etc should be Caroline and that little notes such as bumped head notes or comments in reading diary are fine to be Caro?

Thanks

I think it is fine to use a recognised shortened name in 'official' documents. Caro Emerald has.

So Ron, Dave, Steve, Jan, Maggie etc. seem fine to me but not nicknames like Foxy, Ace, Shorty, Lofty, Chalky etc.

But if one is really famous you can do anything e.g. Ringo Starr.

It really doesn't matter.
