How's your morning going?

Dh got up just before me, I heard him shout and get mad because the dog has peed on the floor and he's stood in it
So that's put him in a bad mood and I can hear him shouting at the kids, shouting at the dog, basically being grumpy.
I was only waiting for the bathroom to be free but finding myself lying here rather than dealing with his grumpiness
Of course me lying in bed will add to it I'm sure Hmm

I had too much wine last night so I've woken up with a headache and have a long day ahead.

At least it can only get better from here? Hmm

Ds6 is squealing there is a spider on the wall and is refusing to eat his toast in here!! Ddogs are waiting to go out but I am desperate to open the orange paint for the downstairs loo and get started!

Dollywilde · 06/11/2020 08:15

DH has taken 12 week old DD out for a walk and I’m in the flat by myself for the first time in about 4 months, it’s very weird and feels very quiet! Just had some toast and tidied the kitchen and now waiting for them to come back Blush

my six year old woke me up at 5.30 to ask if a president had been announced yet so we got up to check and we’ve been watching the news since. both babies are still fast off and my eldest is in bed ill. so a pretty calm morning for a change! think i’m going to order us all a mcdonald’s breakfast and then we’ll have a movie day.

MirandaWest · 06/11/2020 08:18

Got up, went for a run and now working. Pretty standard morning

tigerbear · 06/11/2020 08:20

I’m still in bed, not wanting to get up and face the day. Got my tax bill yesterday, and also worried about the fact that I’ve got no pension.

Happyinheels · 06/11/2020 08:22

It's my day off - which I am so ready for as I'm shattered - but the water board are coming to sort out my water meter... between 7 and 1. So I had to get up in case they arrived at 7! It's a beautiful day here, proper cold, crisp, sunny autumnal day. I live right next to the woods and would love to be out walking instead of sat here waiting.
Gonna be mighty pissed if they turn up at 1 🤣

AmandaHoldensLips · 06/11/2020 08:22

I'm still in bed too, marvelling over the meltdown that President Tantrum is having. I might go mad and have a second coffee.

Incrediblehulky · 06/11/2020 09:17

Terrible so far! I had a doctor's appointment this morning that I was desperate for and just had a phone call to say the doctor has phoned in sick so my appointment is cancelled 🙄

Nahmfor · 06/11/2020 09:29

I dropped my DS off for his first day at nursery and I'm so anxious! I know he'll be fine as the day goes on but the crying as you have to leave them is so upsetting

Afwan · 06/11/2020 09:48

Weekend here, but finished up some leftover work from yesterday so I can 'enjoy' my time off without this hanging over my head.

Made a couple of online orders for house/birthday stuff, waiting for DH to get back from a morning's dune bashing Smile

Ragwort · 06/11/2020 09:52

Day 2 of furlough .... yesterday I was much more proactive, up, showered and dressed by 8am, housework and home admin done by 10am, then out for a walk and checking in (socially distanced) on an elderly neighbour .... today I am still in my dressing gown mumsnetting at nearly 10am Blush. DH busy working from home, teenage DS still in bed ....

FredaFrogspawn · 06/11/2020 09:53

It’s my day off and I am STILL unapologetically in bed. DH has brought me coffee and I’m catching up on the news, checking my bank transactions, slipping in and out of Twitter and Mumsnet and playing a game of scrabble.

This is a good morning chez Freda.

Abendintheriver · 06/11/2020 09:56

It's my day off today and I'm still in bed with the dog curled up next to me. He's going to want to get up soon but I'm trying to keep extra still so as not to encourage him 😁

It’s my last day of holiday. Have enjoyed sausage sandwiches for breakfast. Watching Masterchef USA with my coffee. Getting ready to go to Home Bargains. We do a bi-monthly run for basics and it’s due so DH & I organised all the cupboards yesterday and made a list of everything we need. Hoping this stops me buying everything I see

sandgrown · 06/11/2020 10:13

DS 18 won’t get out of bed to go to college. He is already on a warning and I have a horrible feeling he has started smoking cannabis. We have just left his abusive father and after the stress of that I am running on empty . I have a key worker job and have been working extra as we need the money . My head is about to explode!

Originalyellowbelly · 06/11/2020 10:42

Had to get up super early to get DD off for a long journey mercy mission. Poorly cat had the runs, small drops everywhere downstairs, (yuck) off to the vets again later. Very foggy here earlier but sun is coming through now and going to be a lovely, chilly autumn day. Trying to do some online christmas shopping but can't concentrate for worrying about DCat.

I’m a morning person and that’s when I’m most productive. Got up around 6.15am. Dh got up around 15 minutes later then I stripped the bed and put a wash on. Got youngest dd up. Did a 15 minute home workout, prepped stir fry for lunch, marinated chicken for tomorrow, before I dropped her off at school. Came back, put fresh sheets on, cleaned downstairs bathroom, vacuumed downstairs and filled dishwasher up.
Bed sheets in dryer and second load of towels to wash.

Finally sat down with a cup of tea watching bake-off until dh comes for lunch at 12.
