Smelly boots: how to clean?!

I bought a decent pair of boots last winter that are walm but great for walking around in (not walking boots but every day boots) but they are really starting to stink inside and I'm not sure how i can stop this?! It is putting me off wearing them. I don't think they'd go in the washing machine as they outside material wouldn't cope and it isnt a long term solution. What do people do?

Air them outside on dry days or on radiator after wears and put about half a cup of bicarbonate of soda either alone or withdrops of essential oil tea tree or lavender and leave in over night next day bin the powder abd vacuum in if needed.. they also do shoe deodourisers and odoyr earets online and in big supermarkets cleaning section.

Buy some wood pellet type cat litter and fill old socks up and tie them up. Put them into the boots whenever your not wearing them.
