If supermarket staff are trained to spot people buying items that could make an explosive device (we really do & I could tell you which items), why can they sell actual explosives in November & sometimes December?
It just doesn't make sense HmmConfused

not enough explosive in a firework alone i guess?

we once reported someone stockpiling those items we are trained to spot....not sure what came of it but terrorists were arrested periodically with home made devices in a nearby town.

But one person can buy fireworks with up to 12.5kg of explosive in one go.
It's completely nonsensical.

Good question OP.

There's been a lot of problems in recent years with youths terrorising local neighbourhoods by throwing fireworks around the streets.

The poor animals too.

It should be public displays only. Private individuals shouldn't be able to buy them.

Bluntness100 · 05/11/2020 17:30

Agree they should be banned, I just can’t believe responsible adults still think it’s acceptable to let this shit off in their back garden.

DenimDrift · 05/11/2020 17:46

i think they will be banned in the coming years

you are right op, makes no sense
