Share your little excitements amid the tedium of lockdown. We’ve had seven pairs of jogging bottoms for DD from Next and a packet of Amazon Basics batteries. Such thrills!

I got all of the books for £5.00 too.

ApplesandAardvarks · 20/11/2020 14:23

I did also get two Twirls delivered because I'd ordered some perfume that was on offer, but because it was on offer it was just below the minimum delivery charge so I added two Twirls as it was cheaper than paying for delivery. I thought that they'd send them together but no, they sent the perfume two days ago and the chocolate today.

Who or what has been peeing on your carpets @PickAChew!?

So far this week:

  • Two items from Boden: a top (awful, going straight back) and a cardigan (over-priced but a gorgeous colour and cozy, so keeping)
  • Two pairs of basic black trousers from M&S, both going back, one style no good, the other I stupidly ordered the wrong length
  • New walking shoes for daily dog walk as my current ones leak
  • New bedding for child no.1

New bedding for child no.2 are on order, plus cushions for our bed, and replacement trousers from M&S. I’ve had serious boredom/cabin fever this week so trying to cheer myself up with retail therapy 😔

A swigglefish, a hair dye and a diary for my dad

MinnieJackson · 20/11/2020 15:11

@ApplesandAardvarks are you in the uk? Our towns charity shops have been shut since first lockdown as all the volunteers are vunerable Sad

Pixilicious · 20/11/2020 15:12

A megalodon tooth (Christmas present for ds 8)

User258544 · 20/11/2020 15:16

I'm really enjoying retail therapy too.

Recent purchases (bit of a self care theme)
Body Shop Oils of Life Sleeping Cream - my skin felt moisturised and plump this morn
Facial epilator - OMG game changer
Prai Decolletage Creme - amazing, feel more confident about my ageing neckline and morning crinkles
M&S Pyjamas - nice navy top and check bottom for 12.50 bargain, a blackberry colour breton top for 8.50 which looks fresh and the colour pops

Playdoughcaterpillar · 20/11/2020 15:18

A new toilet! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

MarshmallowsOnToast · 20/11/2020 15:29

A survey from the Office of National Statistics.

Apparently I'm one of 16,000. Feel quite special.

ApplesandAardvarks · 20/11/2020 15:44

MinnieJackson I am in the UK. We've had most charity shops since they were allowed to do so though one is still shut for whatever reason. Unfortunately they have to shut for 3 weeks now as we're going into Tier 4 tomorrow(I'm in Scotland) so I am happy that I was able to stock up today.

I hope that your charity shops can open up soon. Book hunting in charity shops is one of my favourite things and they were very much missed during lockdown.

We have a drinks cabinet whose contents have been gathering dust for decades, yesterday I tipped the lot down the sink and put the bottles out in the recycling, unfortunately a neighbour was also sorting his bins and made a silly daytime drinker comment.

Today I had several cases of wine delivered (for the team at works Xmas gifts) in a Majestic van. The same neighbour was out the front gardening. He's going to think I'm a really heavy drinker!

QueenPaws · 20/11/2020 16:49

FFS razor blades
Botanical candle company candles
Wax melt advent calendar

Purplecatshopaholic · 20/11/2020 17:01

Some cabling and other exciting IT things (for DP); a backless bra for a low backed dress - its terrible and is going back! A baker boy hat for the bad weather - totally superfluous to requirements but I love it, its staying! Sainsburys delivery for the week - numerous subs, hmmmm. Some lovely silk pillow cases from John Lewis that I decided to treat myself to as its so bloomin depressing at the moment. They are lush - so looking forward to going to bed now!

viccat · 20/11/2020 19:39

A couple of tops and a pack of tea towels from M&S

Holothane · 26/11/2020 15:14

Pizza and burrito blanket for our cleaner, he’s getting us a solid toilet seat and fitting it for as our Christmas present I asked him we are delighted the council ones are rubbish.

CloudyVanilla · 26/11/2020 15:19

I've had a gruffalo teddy delivered which is one of the last things I need for my little ones' Christmas presents :)

Not exactly a delivery but I am also click and collecting a new stair gate to protect the upstairs Christmas tree, and a new 4 foot tree for downstairs. Am going to begin decorating once I get these Grin

whereshalligo · 26/11/2020 15:27

Brake callipers for Dh, sweaty Betty leggings and vest top (Xmas present for me from Dh), new walking boots and a magnetic shopping list
Also speeding ticket for Dh Angry

Echobelly · 26/11/2020 15:31

Two tile samples which were totally wrong. We have a tiny downstairs loo basin and just stuck two big orange tiles above it as a splashback, which went really well will the wallpaper. It's nothing like enough and there's horrible splashes on the wall alongside it and above the tiles, so we need to tile that whole area so it's wipeable. Annoyingly they don't make the same ones anymore, so I ordered some samples of something we could replace them with but the orange is a dull, sludgy one and the other colour's not right. Back to the drawing board.
