Do you do a colour theme for xmas? Like red gold and green for example or just a mash up of things you like?

On the tree it’s anything and everything - lots of baubles we’ve collected and a few things the Dc have made.
In the dining room, it’s more tasteful - red, gold and white!

My living room is mainly red and gold, my walls are a dark cream kind of colour and along with our fire the red and gold keeps it looking cosy and snug. I have random baubles collected over my life so it's not all in theme

My dining room is duck egg blue and I have silver, blue and white decorations in there

Last year clear and wooden baubles.
This year I've bought some cheap teal and rose gold ones to add with the wooden as i know my 2 year old will smash all the glass ones.

Red and gold downstairs, blue and silver upstairs.

Everything goes in our house

Figmentofimagination · 05/11/2020 20:05

Colour scheme for the tinsel (I have lots so like to change it up each year, last year it was silver, blue and green) but decorations are whatever we want. Pretty baubles in different colours, Disney, hand made, wooden, delicate gold, fun ones from our holidays.

KindergartenKop · 05/11/2020 21:45

My colour scheme is ALL THE COLOURS. The gaudier the better!

Bloodybridget · 05/11/2020 21:46

No colour scheme, just colours!

Holothane · 05/11/2020 21:47

No decs on tree this year it’s pretty enough without them, but white tree and green lights in the bedroom.

helloxhristmas · 05/11/2020 21:50

Went old school last year ditched al the white lights on the tree and the icicle lights on the house. Full on coloured lights and we loved it so fully embracing it again.

LionLily · 05/11/2020 22:17

The theme this year is Explosion in a Clown's Wardrobe.

Grin that sounds like us!
PepsiLola · 05/11/2020 22:33

We have two living rooms. Our front room is a nicer/kids junk not allowed room. Our tree is navy and silver.

The back living room is the family room, we have everything from dinosaurs, to Elvis baubles. It's a shit mix to say the least 😂

picklemewalnuts · 06/11/2020 07:57

We have quite a lot so vary from year to year.
I tend to go red, green and gold, but have some silver I rarely use, cinnamon and black currant. I use those on specific items or rooms.

NoRoomInBed · 06/11/2020 08:22

It's my 1st year to buy xmas decorations and a tree. Cant decide what colours to go. I'm thinking silver or gold. Gold isn't my fav but would match the living room better xx

Explosion in clowns wardrobe Grin

we dont have a colour theme but everything seems to match thus far and the tree compliments the room

NullcovoidNovember · 06/11/2020 09:11

arrghh lovely op!! Your building your supply up. Ideally buying decs will evolve over the years...from your base - of some basics etc...
