Does it have to be exactly the same one?

NullcovoidNovember · 05/11/2020 10:42

Well - what I have works, if its a 3.5 tog and I buy a 10 it maybe too hot?

Or perhaps 10 is a happy medium tog for winter and summer ?

Well I think the thicker it is the higher the tog, my sons is a lightweight duvet so not to thin not to thick and that's a 7.5 tog (if that helps)

A 3 tog will be very thin and light. 10 a bit more substantial

our summer duvet is 4.5 and the winter one is 13.5.

If yours is 3.5 it'll be very thin!

SkepticalCat · 05/11/2020 10:46

I think in the past I have bought two duvets which can be clipped together - one 3.5 tog, the other 10 tog, which together obviously makes a 13.5 tog duvet.

I think I use the 10 tog all year round, unless very hot in the summer.

BikeRunSki · 05/11/2020 10:47

10.5 is standard.
An old duvet may not be as warm it it should anyway, so compatible your old label to a new one may not work anyhow.
3.5 is very thin
13 is really thick!

Ok so perhaps my current one is 10 tog - as it works for both and I will replace with that - its a lot of money - difference, and I am going for the white company = thank you
