Weird question.
Can you get such a thing as a tiny tea cosy that goes over a mug, not a teapot?

I expect you can, after all you used to be able to get egg cosies for boiled eggs ( school craft project in year five back in the dark ages). Only thing is it would get very soggy with steam. You can buy cups with lids so expect you can buy mugs with lids - or just buy an insulated mug.

On the other hand you might have stumbled on the ultimate lockdown inspired new business idea. You could be the Emma Bridgewater of the mug cosy, and I am proud to know you.

You can get 'mug wraps' that go around the cup to help keep it hot & cups that come with ceramic lids (rather than drinking lids) but I haven't see any cosies that go right over the top.

You could crochet or knit one.

You lot are brilliant. Am looking at mug wraps/cosies on Etsy.

viques, as above, sadly the idea already exists –but if inspiration strikes and I come up with a fabulous and lucrative new twist on it, you've earned a share and I'll know where you are Grin
