What alcoholic drinks do you have in the winter?

Over Christmas I always get a bottle of port and a bottle of Baileys just for me.

I don’t even drink the rest of the year.

Must be the prospect of lockdown that’s making me look forward to it already.

Sloe gin, ginger wine.

Every year I get excited for an advocaat snowball, then remember they're mediocre at best.

I had an amazing mulled cider last weekend.

Mulled wine, and homemade egg nog on xmas even.

Dark rum and ginger beer...it's called a dark and stormy and is spicy and so lush.

Hot whiskey

Whisky and dry ginger, or coffee with Baileys instead of milk.

Now I do like Pimms.

I always get a bottle of baileys but tend to just use it in hot chocolate. I tend to have at least 1 of those a night leading up to Christmas.

Single malt whisky
Harvey’s Bristol Cream Sherry

The Kings Ginger if solvent, home made red if not

Advocaat, if I can get the thick spoonable type from Belgium.

Brandy Alexander for a treat, I float Maltesers on top, for a bit of fun!

Port, Baileys (for hot chocolates) and advocaat (snowballs!).

Half a thimble of sweet sherry, Mumsnet stylie.

But only every other year of course...

Amarula Cream

Cherry Brandy or Kahlua, with the odd Amaretto, lovely.🥃🍸

Ooh definitely Baileys and mulled wine. Mulled cider also sounds so good!!!

Advocaat for a snowball, mixed with san Pelegríno lemonade and a slice of lime, Christmas in a glass. Whisky toddy if I'm feeling under the weather, usually made with one of DH single malts. Frangelico, slice of lime and ice. And sometimes a dark and stormy, rum and ginger.

Just ordered a plum and vanilla gin that, red wine and Old Fashioneds will see me through winter.

Baileys and Disarrono

I'm off the booze these days, but I used to like mulled wine and mulled cider. Winter Pimm's is nice too. I was never a fan of most sweet alcoholic drinks, definitely not Bailey's etc.

Bottle of port so I can have hot port and lemon on very cold days
Snowballs for Christmas and some type of gin liqueur.
We have a toffee apple one from home bargains at the moment which is lovely

Baileys, Disaronno, Advocaat for snowballs, mulled wine, vanilla vodka in hot apple juice with some cinnamon.

Baileys, although the Lidl one is much cheaper and just as nice.
Mulled wine.
Amaretto sours

Brandy or quantro in hot chocolate
