...from their real name, but no googling allowed!
Shall I start?

Leslie Charles.

Even with googling ... not a clue

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 04/11/2020 23:46

Is it actress Leslie Charles? If so, that wasn't that cryptic Grin (except I always thought Leslie with an 'ie' was the boy's spelling - seems her parents disagreed).

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 04/11/2020 23:51

Got to admit, I kept to the letter of the rules, but not the spirit - used Startpage (I never use Google; bunch of spies).

Charles Leslie was a Jacobite propagandist after the 1688 Glorious Revolution - would have been 370 this year had he not been so cruelly taken from us - would he technically qualify as a celebrity, though? I don't know how well he would have fared on Tipping Point Lucky Stars.

ItsNotNormalLove · 05/11/2020 00:11

No idea. Craig Charles??

giggly · 05/11/2020 00:14

Les Dennis

Fabellini · 05/11/2020 00:21

Billy Ocean

WitchesSpelleas · 05/11/2020 00:26

Absolutely a celebrity! He's been put on the internet 300 years after his death - what further qualification could you ask for?

Do you think he'd take the trade, though - even if the jackpot counter was still on the top shelf? Grin

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 05/11/2020 01:26

Unless it is actress Leslie Charles (and I miscalculated the expected level of difficulty of the game), it doesn't look like the whole internet knows who he (or she) is!

DogsnKids · 05/11/2020 01:26

Yes Billy Ocean.

Do you want another?

Richard Esterhuysen

MinnieJackson · 05/11/2020 06:28

Richard osman?

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 05/11/2020 10:16

I cheated Blush, so I won't spoil it for those playing nicely by the rules.

I'll also throw another one into the mix, though - John Marshall.

IntermittentParps · 05/11/2020 10:19

Richard E. Grant.
I don't know John Marshall though.

Crankley · 05/11/2020 11:42

How about Joyce Frankenberg?

BorderlineHappy · 05/11/2020 13:05

Jayne Seymour is Joyce Frankenberg.

Saucery · 05/11/2020 13:08

Brian Warner

IntermittentParps · 05/11/2020 13:23

Marilyn Manson. Who is John Marshall?!?

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 05/11/2020 13:43

We lost him this year.

Along with Edward McGinnis and Robert Harper.

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 05/11/2020 13:46

How about Neta-Lee Hershlag?

IntermittentParps · 05/11/2020 13:53

Edward McGinnis is Eddie Large (RIP!) Don't know the other one.

Neta-Lee Hershlag is Natalie Portman I think.

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 05/11/2020 14:01

Robert Harper didn't like belts and he didn't go out much.

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 05/11/2020 14:02

Thomas Derbyshire.

Autumnly · 05/11/2020 14:04

Is Robert Harper Bobby Ball.

somelemons · 05/11/2020 14:04

Robert Simpson. (not the composer of the same name).

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 05/11/2020 14:06

Rock on, Autumnly Grin
