Do I need to isolate? NHS test & trace

Hi I'm confused on what I should be doing. My mum got a notification yesterday (3rd) on the app that she needs to isolate as she may have been in contact with someone who has tested positive. The notification was yesterday and said to isolate for 8 days. I saw her on November 2nd. Do I need to isolate too? My app is not saying I need to. We don't live together (both live alone)

Also...her app only told her yesterday and said 8 days remaining (says 7 days today). I thought it was 14 days?? She has her bluetooth on all the time if that makes any difference.

No, you don't need to isolate unless your mum becomes symptomatic.

It seems to be taking a few days for the app to get in touch with contacts. If it says 7 days from today that is what she must follow - it means she was in contact with someone a week ago who has since tested positive.
You would only need to isolate if:
A - you live with your mum and she becomes symptomatic OR
B you don't live with her but she tests positive & you have been in close contact
