Flapjacks but no oats - help!!!

I've just opened the oats and they have maggots in them 🤢 from lidls and still in date til 2021!!!!
Anyway I have melted the butter, syrup, and sugar together but now oats!!! What can I use instead??? Can I change it into a sort of cake?? Or add hobnobs? Or cereal????

Or nuts I suppose??

Add some cocoa or hot chocolate powder and corn flakes. No need to bake.

Have you got other cereal? Maybe cornflakes or rice crisps would work? You could maybe add dried fruit and nuts too. Crushed hobnobs might make a sort of tiffin?

I don't have any cornflakes or rice Krispies, damn!! I do have some hobnobs, so maybe some of those and some nuts!?

How far is the shop? If you have a local shop, you could just take it off the heat for five mins while you dash off for oats.

How about granola?

A sort of tiffin/fridge cake if you have cocoa powder, biscuits, marshmallows, fruit, nuts, anything really?

Maggots! That would put me right off baking anything, burn your kitchen down!

Break the hobnobs into pieces, crush a few as well, and mix in along with nuts/raisins/other dried fruits.

Yes, the hobnobs plus cocoa or chocolate will make some kind of Tiffin. Throw in stuff like nuts and raisins as others have said.

Cook the maggots. Protein flapjacks.

If the hobknobs won't stretch far enough, could you put some breadcrumbs in with it? There are bread pudding/cake recipes, so just a variation.
