I’m the first to admit I was a total junk food eating Netflix watching slob for the majority of the first lockdown so this time I’d like to install a few healthier habits as it’s going to be harder mentally not being able to lay in the sun during lunch breaks/after work this time.

  • Read a book in bed for 10 minutes each night instead of mindlessly scrolling the internet
  • Try out some new recipes and get DP involved so he can improve his cooking skills and don’t order as many takeaways as last time
  • Get out for a walk every day before it gets dark
  • Do one body pump class a week with the weights I bought back in August and still haven’t opened Blush
  • Avoid spending money on random tat just as something to do
  • Make more of an effort to have more sex!

Anyone else?

I've bought a cheap rowing machine so intend to up my activity levels. I'm also going to cut down on my drinking.

I've just bought an embroidery kit so am hoping that will become a hobby, instead of playing on my phone all the time.

In the first lockdown I did so well at reading. I sped through a very difficult book (foreign language) and was reading very fluently. When I had a bit more freedom this completely dropped off and I have 20 more pages to go which I am going to achieve this weekend. Once done, I’m moving on to a translation of my favourite book (Northanger Abbey of course) which I intend to enjoy a lot.

I am also going to do some menu planning, both for weekday meals and also the three brunches/ dinner parties I intend to host as soon as we are allowed to.

I’ve always wanted to make my own Christmas wreath, so this month I’m going to go for a forage in the local forest and scope out the materials and best locations. Then that’ll be a December weekend activity I can look forward to.

I quit smoking and drinking during the last lockdown.

This time the dc will be at school so I’ll be able to go for runs.

Also aiming for more housework and less mumsnet! (Sorry mumsnet, love you)

Oohh yes I forgot about new hobbies. I spend an obscene amount of money on candles so I’ve ordered all the kit to start making my own (and finally use the embarrassing collection of glass jars under the sink)

I love the sound of embroidery and wreath making as well so might give those a go

Health kick and pamper. My resolutions started 2 months early so that they are properly ingrained by Jan, I'm hoping to look amazing when I venture out and see people again.

Been at home working and the only time I’ve been out much is school drop offs so doesn’t make much difference to me!

I plan to continue my dinner time work outs and make the most of our local lockdown walks. Maybe finish painting the listing room I have one wall that o couldn’t be bothered painting since 6 weeks ago haha

@Turnedouttoes same with the sex thing, I think I’ve been too lazy recently to make much effort!
