New MLM low

Someone posted on a local parenting group, they said there where struggling small kids abs lockdown and didn't have many "mum friends". Lots of local parents reached out on Facebook comments, introducing themselves, suggesting activities and friendship, (including me)

She added a few of us as Facebook friends then immediately spammed us with mlm rubbish .

I'm so pissed off, makes me not want to offer to help people in future

It probably explains why she doesn't have many friends!

But her gaucheness doesn't necessarily mean that she isn't lonely or struggling. If you think it might have been anything other than a ploy, you could always say 'I have no interest in what you're selling so please don't send me any marketing materials again, but the offer of (whatever it was you offered) stands'.

She's a MLM bot. That's what they're programmed to do. Not worth bothering with until they've come to their senses.

I feel sad for other struggling parents. Many will now now reach out and people will be wary about offering support

I have a MLM Facebook friend, fortunately she realises that her spamming is wasted on me, but yes that is how they work.
