I’m feeling really down about the new lockdown. I’ve met a man and fallen head over heels after a horrible few years, messy divorce and not thinking I’d ever be with anyone again. He’s in Wales, I’m England and I was so very excited to be seeing him next week after not seeing him for weeks. And now I can’t for another month at least

But I’ve recently inherited some money so we’re going to have a lovely mini break (4-5 days) in February, hopefully. Please don’t tell me that everything will be the same and we still won’t be able to go anywhere. I know this is quite possible but I don’t want to hear it.
Where should we go? I like a bit of culture, possibly museums and nice walks. Ideally an amazing hotel. I don’t fancy Paris or Rome but any other suggestions of places you’ve been and loved? What’s Iceland like in February? I’ve been in midsummer when it never gets dark. A few hours daylight to go exploring each day so we don’t feel guilty about just spending the rest of the time shagging sounds tempting though.
