Illustrated book recommendations

Would anyone be able to recommend a children's book with beautiful illustrations? I like to give a special book as a gift each year, classic or modern, in hard back. It's for a 7 year old.

Thank you!

They have in recent years released posh illustrated versions of the Harry Potters, think they've done first four so far.

Yes the Harry Potter ones are lovely. I used to have a beautiful illustrated version of Heidi.

Do you specifically want a novel op? My 6 year old loves Creaturepedia(Adriennne Barman) for the illustrations.

Thank you @EineReiseDurchDieZeit & @BertieBotts , I'll have a look. I must in shame admit that I'm not clued up on Harry Potter at all, books or films so I tend to avoid. I'll be ran out of here Grin
