Maybe I'm biased because I have kids who dance and sing including a daughter who went to ballet school and I know how much they are missing performing.

Possibly, but even if it is, it isn’t the Christmas Show - it’s the ‘Winter Show’ according to that ad. Seriously, Amazon, if you want us all to buy your wares and continue making the worlds richest man even richer, at least say the word Christmas in your Christmas ad.

Just seen it for first time during Bake Off and I'm blubbing!

I don't see what there is to cry about with the ballerina one. It's a bit sad when the show gets cancelled but nothing awful happens and it's all alright by the end.
The Age Concern one is just sad on top of sad. It made me think about getting the cat an advent calendar though.

That had me crying. I am so missing all the live performances (viewer only!). Then I thought oh gosh just me blubbing, came back on the thread to find plenty more vipers blubbing too. This has been a hard week. When will this shit end?

@Sparklingbrook I think, for me, it just summed up this year in terms of the show being cancelled. Then the ballet is sort of uplifting which still makes me cry (I’m the type who cried at every NHS clap though.

I'm a performer who's summer tour got cancelled, and is staring down the barrel of the Christmas show I'd just been cast being cancelled, and the ballerina advert broke my heart.

Then I realised it was for Amazon and felt sullied.

I know I’m having an emotionally bad day already, but I don’t think I will ever hate an ad as much as the age concern one listed above. That was awful. It made me want to be sick and I almost stopped watching, but thought that it must redeem itself by the end and I won’t leave feeling this bereft. It only got worse.

Not Christmassy, but I’m loving the current Dunelm advert where the nurse comes home and the first thing she does is take her bra off.
I’ve not worn a uniform for a good few years, but once upon a time, that was me.
