Need help with Christmas gift for DF

Really need help with what to get DFather for Christmas. I've bought him some of his fav alcohol but need something to go with it. Also already got him stuff from my DS. He's retired (now early 60s). Went to gym pre-covid. Likes watching football and horse racing. Is fairly well off so doesn't 'need' anything. I asked him what he wanted but he couldn't suggest anything. Subject to covid I should be seeing him around Christmas so it wouldn't need posting. He doesn't read, cook etc. He does quite like gardening although it seems to becoming a chore lately. He's recently lost his mum (my DGM) so really want something to help put a smile on his face...

What does he drink? If it’s whisky could you get him some whisky stones and Gelncairn glasses. Could you get pictures of your kids made into a calendar for him? Do you have a nice photo of his mum to put in a frame?

Would he like a nice fire pit/garden light?

Dinosauraddict · 03/11/2020 13:43

He drinks gin, maybe some stones/garnishes? I wouldn't dare actually buy something for his garden, it's perfectly manicured and probably wouldn't be welcomed! Confused

I’m getting mine one of those birdhouses with the cameras in that you can link to a tablet or the tv. We’ll have to set it up for him, but I reckon him and my mum will live it. My cousin is also getting one for her parents. God help us of one lot gets a family and one doesn’t 🙈😳😆

Dinosauraddict · 03/11/2020 20:59

Thanks everyone, I didn't know a camera in a birdhouse was a thing but he loves his pigeons so you might've just solved it for me!! Grin
