Does anyone always sleep with ear plugs?

I have trouble getting to sleep if there is any noise and also easily wake up. Currently have a neighbour who often has her radio/tv on late in the evening and early in the morning. I don’t think I can complain so I have started to sleep with earplugs although i find them uncomfortable.

Does anyone use them every night? Do they damage your ears? Currently just using the foam ones - someone recommended the wax ones but they didn’t really work for me.

I use foam ear plugs as my husband snores. They're not perfect but the silicon ones made the inside of my ears sweat. Sometimes I have to give up and sleep in another room.

I use the Boots wax ones as DH snores and sometimes his doggo wakes up. I think they're great - can still hear the alarm in the morning and can jam them in a bit more if I hear any noise.

I do, and have been doing so for a few years, since I am more sensitive to noise since having children.

I use foam ones. The best ones I've found are by a brand called Mack's. It does ache a little when using a new pair but it soon disappears.

I use the yellow and pink ones

The silicone ones fall out and get stuck in my hair

I've used them for years , no issues apart from sometimes my ears are sore inside but I only notice it if I touch them

Our local audiologist will do ones that fit to your specific ears.

I used to always use wax ones but developed mild tinnitus which I think was caused by putting wax ones in my ear everynight.

I used the silicone ones for about 10 years, I've only just stopped using them in the last couple of months. They were fine - the only (niche) issue is that I woke up a couple of times chewing on them. They had fallen out in the night, I'd picked them up in my sleep and dreamed they were chewing gum. Pretty grim but I doubt this is widespread issue!

I snore so DH uses them so we can still sleep in the same bed. Doesn't seem to bother him.

I use the Howard Leight (pink and yellow) ones - sometimes I end up wearing them all night to sleep, then all day on the motorbike - the outside world seems very loud when I take them out !!!!

Started because of OH snoring, and when he's away I do love a night without them, but generally I use them every night. I think they'd be my one luxury item if I did a desert island or something (assuming there was a snorer with me :D )

I've worn them every night for years. Never had an ear infection.

I use foam ones from Moldex. Hate the silicone/waxy ones. They wouldn't stay in and got stuck in my hair.

Still hear alarms.

I used to, I used the foam ones and changed v regularly for hygiene reasons. But now I use ocean waves and I am totally converted. It has a Pavlovian effect on me and helps me get to sleep and stay alseep and I don't have to worry about them falling out/ getting dirty etc.

Yes, I've used them every day since being in noisy uni halls of residence fifteen years ago! If you're not sure which type will suit you best, Snorestore do a mixed taster bag so you can try them out and work out which are best. Like a PP, I use the slim foam ones.

Hi how did you transition to not wearing them. I have worn them every night for years and my partner snores. I'm about to have a baby and am nervous about getting no sleep for all the other reasons also
