It varies between places, but certainly alot of the places I went to, the loos were closed.

ShellsAndSunrises · 02/11/2020 16:26

It'll vary. The current draft of the legislation says they don't have to close, but many will because cleaning them is difficult for the councils under lockdown conditions. Ours were filthy last time, there were daily posts from the council for weeks pleading with people to use them normally and not create horrendous messes for others to deal with.

It's probably going to be a case of trying to find out when you plan trips, as it'll depend on the individual toilet.

If nobody is supposed to be going anywhere and staying at home then it would make sense for them to be closed I suppose.

doctorhamster · 02/11/2020 16:29

The ones local to me never re opened from the first lockdown Angry

Janaih · 02/11/2020 16:35

Thanks, probably best to assume they will be shut then and take she wee with me on walks.

Try the Lockdown Loo website. It may be useful!

Nosleeptilteenagers · 02/11/2020 17:24

Currently in lockdown in wales and the ones by me are all shut.
Had my first “nature wee” in about 30 years in the woods on our daily exercise today! My 7 yo kept guard.

It's ridiculous for elderly people, those with disabilities, pregnant women and children.

Nomnomarrgh · 02/11/2020 17:27

That’s me stuck in the house again...

Muranoandizumi · 02/11/2020 17:30

That said, supermarket toilets remained open throughout last time ?

Janaih · 02/11/2020 17:32

I have an overactive bladder. My life revolves around toilets. I can hold on but it gets very painful.
Thanks for the www.lockdownloo.com/ tip, will keep an eye on it.
