Starter professional camera for a 12 year old?

Wondering if anyone can recommend a starter professional digital camera for DS who will be 12 soon?

He has a small basic digi camera but looking for a more professional one, budget up to £100 thereabouts if that’s possible?

DSLR cameras start at over that amount even for a basic camera.
Lenses are sold separately. You can get entry level body + lens for a few hundred pounds but a professional camera will cost a four figure sum. Your DS needs a basic DSLR not a professional one & a single zoom lens to get started.

You can pick up kit second hand as people upgrade which would probably be a good move for a 12 yo.
