Not too smelly, affordable candles?

As the title says, can anyone recommend any candles that aren’t too smelly? I am enjoying candles this year as the evenings get longer but find the really cheap ones have quite a strong smell that I tend not to like. Can’t stretch to the really fancy ones though.

I love a Jo Malone candle, but it definitely doesn't meet the cheap criteria!

There are knock off versions in Aldi which are great and I can't tell the difference :-)

I was recommended Avamay for candles and wax melts by a friend. I bought the wax melts and they are lovely. They are based on perfume fragrances. The melts cost £5 for 6 little cubes.

Jo Malone copies from Aldi! They smell the same!

Another vote for Aldi! Number 1 I think it is, Lime...Mandarin & Basil. Smells lovely and having had Jo Malone before I wouldn't spend the £££ again just for the brand. Definitely not worth it.

Neom and it works candles are nice and are often on offer in TK Max.

Are the Aldi candles still ok? I had the pomegranate one, one year and was very impressed but when I purchased another the scent was very weak and no different to an unscented candle.

Look for some small businesses. There's a business I follow on Facebook, she makes them all herself using ingredients from her land. All the proceeds for towards caring for her rescued farm animals. Because they are all natural they smell lovely.
