Quick help needed! Burger King kids veggie burger - anyone ever had one and able to answer a question?

Because of complicated reasons I am in a hotel room overnight with an autistic child who eats a limited diet. I can see a Burger King from the window. He eats veggie burgers but only if they are fake meat, not if they are the sort with identifiable bean or vegetable pieces!

Anyone know which sort BK serve in the kids veggie meal?

(PS yes I've googled, I'm none the wiser for it)

When I last had one it had identifiable beans in, although that was a few years ago.

Squintybumcheek · 01/11/2020 16:16

Yeah it was chopped veg in a breadcrumb type outer last time I had one. They did so a fake meat beyond burger but not sure if that was a limited edition though as not been for ages.

the plant based whopper appears to be fake meat type. although cooked on the meat grill. i presume you can ask for it plain, or whatever he likes etc

Bugger. Will have to venture further afield to find a plain pizza then!

It's been a while, but memory tells me it's more of a chopped up veg in breadcrumbs affair rather than fake meat. Picture on website makes it looks that way too

can you not look on just eat and have some thing delivered.

Depending on hotel I guess, but a lot seem to be ok with this at the moment.

ShellsAndSunrises · 01/11/2020 16:22

Yeah the plant based whopper is fake meat, no identifiable beans (I had one six or so weeks ago in an airport). But as a PP said, it’s not vegan, unless they’ve changed how they cook it.

Choice4567 · 01/11/2020 16:24

Are you able to get anything delivered? Hotel reception might to help find somewhere/order for you

BoobsOnTheMoon · 01/11/2020 16:24

Can you have food delivered to a Travelodge? I don't even have justeat, we are country mice that have been stranded in a city Confused

You can check with the front desk. I've ordered from justeat/Deliveroo etc... in hotels before

RemyHadley · 01/11/2020 16:27

It’s fine to get food delivered to a hotel. In the delivery instructions just give the hotel address and tell them you’ll meet them in reception. They call when they get there and you go down. Sounds like a stressful situation to be in, are you ok?

myhobbyisouting · 01/11/2020 16:28

Yeah, Ubereats, justeat or deliveroo

Reception will just ring your room when it's ready

This code will get you 50% off Ubereats Grin

Enjoy

wishingchair1 · 01/11/2020 16:30

It should be fine to have delivered, especially if they don't have a restaurant. I've been offered takeawy menus at a few we've stayed at over the last several months.
Or download the app and look at just eat etc near you. If son happy to go out near by, you probably can order and collect a pizza easily.

Hi @BoobsOnTheMoon, did you get sorted in the end?
