Help
Is there an easy guide to setting up a laptop for easy but safe use for a child.

I just have mine use his in a main family room and not his bedroom. That way we know what websites he's going on.

Same as above. My year 8 is just using my laptop downstairs where I can keep an eye on her.

Remember to check browser histories. That will tell you what they have been on. Certain sites allow parental controls. Insist you have their password. Make sure they haven't set another account for themselves.

Thank you - a painful Sunday afternoon

We are agreed on all screens downstairs only so that is good - probably the best really

He always used mine before so this is established from then

DH wants to lock it down a bit more formally as his nephew used YouTube and stumbled on upsetting content - many years ago

He’s looking at parental control apps

I can do PowerPoint and software support etc but the systems and decisions stuff frys my brain
