Just don’t click it?

Click on the little arrow to the right of the TALK button at the top.

Choose "customise" and scroll down to the "manage hidden topics and threads.

I look at "posts in last 24hours" If I didn't have the CV topic hidden then almost all of the threads this morning would be some variation of "I am special, why do I have to follow these silly rules". I really, really don't want to see all that shite.

If you mean hide from active threads yes, but it still pops up in trending I think. It’s in your settings.

Yes as@banivani says, you will still see threads in trending.
