Just looking for some recommendations to get us through the next month.

I'll start by recommending:
Brave New World - series
Ratched - series
Rebecca - film

We’ve been watching the Bridge. We’ve finished Series 2, so 3 and 4 to go. It’s excellent, it was recommended on here - I’d just finished watching the Fall and posted on here for similar ideas. I’d also highly recommend The Fall.

Dugee · 01/11/2020 11:22

Also, Harlots, a bit trashy but an easy watch. Series on iPlayer.

The series This is Us has just released series 5 all can be found on Prime.

The Queen's Gambit is excellent and can be found on Netflix.

pistolknight · 01/11/2020 11:27

The barrier
To the lake
Both are on Netflix

TazMac · 01/11/2020 11:32

Has anyone watched American Gods? Think it’s a bit old but just noticed DP has added it to our watchlist.

That said, we didn’t get round to watching Game of Thrones until the last lockdown. Watched the whole thing in 6 weeks, I was bereft when we finished it.

notanotherlasagne · 01/11/2020 11:46

So excited about This Is Us! Also try Ozark, Emily In Paris, Bordertown, Mindhunter...

Dugee · 01/11/2020 11:49

Mind Hunter is excellent. Is series 3 coming soon?

I’ll have a flick through Netflix tonight and add some of these on. Can’t say that I’ve got much else to look forward to over the next month, other than binge watching and eating nice food Wink

Lemming20 · 01/11/2020 17:41

Mad Men on Amazon prime Smile

Sparklingbrook · 01/11/2020 17:45

Normal People (BBC Iplayer) it's a bit marmite. 12 half an hour episodes, close to Sally Rooney's book. I enjoyed it but it's a bit of a roller coaster and much shouting at the screen.

Love Life (BBC Iplayer) Rom Com starring Anna Kendrick, 10 episodes. Entertaining and not too high brow.

mum2jakie · 01/11/2020 17:49

Motherland - series 1 on Netflix and most of series 2 on iPlayer

Destinysdaughter · 01/11/2020 17:54

Loved Emily in Paris! Such wonderful escapism. Call my Agent is v good if you don't mind subtitles.

If you have Sky Arts, there are lots of interesting documentaries about the old school Hollywood movie stars, Audrey Hepburn, Rock Hudson etc.

Just coming back to this, thank you for all your suggestions.

If anyone likes violent anime Hmm then blood of Zeus on Netflix was quite good. I wouldn't normally watch that kind of thing though.

OrangeBananaFish · 07/11/2020 20:31

Another This is Us suggestion. Just because that was my lockdown viewing earlier in the year.

Trekkerbabe · 07/11/2020 20:35

Seaside hotel. Channel 4... brilliant!!!

Dugee · 14/11/2020 15:15

We are about half way through Cursed and enjoying it. Desperately searching for another GoT, don't think Cursed is it but it's good in its own way.

So just finished the Crown series 4 and about to start the Queen's Gambit. Thanks to the person above who recommended it, looks excellent.

DianaOfTheLakes · 05/12/2020 19:36

The Queen's Gambit is excellent, enjoy.

I'm the other way round to you - just about to start the Crown.
