Plus getting some Xmas shopping done and maybe one last meal out
And getting in some decorating supplies

For once I was lucky in that I booked my hair appointment for Tuesday. Last time my hair wasn’t too bad before lockdown but before the end I had to get Dh to cut it - never again!

We bought a second freezer a couple of months ago and I don’t think I will run out of meat or frozen veg but I do need fresh food.

We are going out to lunch on Wednesday to a local restaurant from where we had takeaways during the last lockdown and are then going to DD’s for sparklers and hot dogs in the evening. Fortunately I do some childcare so will be able to see dgs and dd or sil at a distance over the next 4 weeks.

DialsMavis · 01/11/2020 18:55

I'm going to see if I can take a day's annual leave to buy bday cards and wrapping paper for DD, DH and DS and to get stocking fillers just in case.

GeorgeMichaelsEspadrille · 01/11/2020 18:59

Christmas cards before the charity shops shut.

Give me something to do on lockdown evenings.

minipie · 01/11/2020 19:00

Snap 55larry my hair appointment is Wednesday! Phew.

I also happen to have an eye check booked for Tuesday so that’s good timing, though maybe opticians will stay open, not sure.

I’ll be going to the gym a couple of times.

Otherwise - a final meal out and a final coffee with friends (all outdoors as we are tier 2). Took the DC for an outing today to an attraction that will be shutting.

No more than I had planned anyway, except for the meal out which was planned for Friday and we brought forward.

Crunchymum · 01/11/2020 19:03

Have DC1 and DP birthday in mid November so will grab cards and banners etc. Will also head to Flying Tiger for stocking fillers and I'll stock up on a selection of greeting cards (used much of my supply during lockdown. Who knew so many people I know had Birthdays in March and April Grin)

Somewherein2021 · 01/11/2020 19:03

@PhylisPrice Argos do wellies, as part of Tu, sometimes reduced, if you are ever stuck for DS.

They say click & collects will still be allowed.

nosswith · 01/11/2020 19:05

A church service in person. Have the opportunity to do so tomorrow- I want to remember those of my family who died in the two World Wars, and now cannot do so on November 11th. I had hoped to visit the memorial to one of them but it is over two hours away.

DryingMyHair · 01/11/2020 19:06

Buy DS’s birthday card (birthday mid November).

TheOrigRights · 01/11/2020 19:07

Swimming. Already Covid friendly so not overly busy.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 01/11/2020 19:11

Getting DS a haircut and going out for a last meal. I sensed this was coming so got us both in at the dentist last week.

bellagogosdead · 01/11/2020 19:15

The library maybe- assuming they will have shut?
Fabric so I can make some nice pjs and face masks.Sad it's not the same buying online plus I want to support my local haberdasher. A meal out on Monday and a few drinks Tuesday, again half the reason is to support local businesses, it must be so awful for them.
I might shop for a nice big hoodie for WFH too...

LifeOfBriony · 01/11/2020 19:19

Another one buying Christmas stamps (released on Tuesday), birthday cards for November and December birthdays, and some Christmas cards to write during lockdown.

I have a shopping order coming Wednesday and have included Christmas cake ingredients, so that will give me something to do next weekend.

I've usually done the cake by now but am never this early with writing Christmas cards.

Megan2018 · 01/11/2020 19:20

My car.
Was due to get new car in March, delayed due to Covid. Was then due in June, but got delayed again. Then September.
It’s now finally in the country and just up the road in Derby at a dealer but I need it registered and delivered before Thursday.
I will literally sob if it’s not here. I’m sick of sharing with DH (we live rurally with no shops or buses).

anothergloriousmorning · 01/11/2020 19:25

I need to buy everyone's Christmas presents, Christmas food that will last, and need to go to ikea for a few bits to finish DS's recently decorated room.

I can't actually do any of those things so instead I'm going to get myself more anxious and stressed about the fact that I can't do it 🙄

RB68 · 01/11/2020 19:34

I have dentist for fixing a badly broken tooth on Mon - broke early april... so hopefully that will go ahead.

We are organising a funeral for Friday so need to sort order of service and getting that printd but can't speak to priest so will just have to say "reading" or similar rather than be specific!! That will need to be done tonight I think to get printd etc tomorrow/Tuesday

Need to go put some cash on a friends supermarket shopping card or she and her daughter will go without due to food bank being rationed near her. Or at least will be living off her 37p pasta for a month

Need a tank of petrol ready for Thur/Fri and a supermarket shop as all the delivery slots are taken again

Ihatesandwiches · 01/11/2020 19:39

I have booked DD into after school club so I can have my hair done. I am booked in for Saturday, but I missed my appt last Lockdown by 2 days :-( and 8 don't want a repeat of peering through my fringe and then attacking it with nail scissors.

Bedsheets4knickers · 01/11/2020 19:53

I've got to go and get my acrylics soaked off .

Christmasfairy2020 · 01/11/2020 19:56

I want my builder to finish my conservatory roof and kitchen extension project as I'm fed up of dust everywhere. The floor was supposed to go down 2mrw and isnt so I hope that goes down Tuesday.

MinnieJackson · 01/11/2020 20:15

I'm going to b&m and home bargains tomorrow to get my kids Christmas stocking stuff and baubles etc. Then I'll feel a little easier hopefully. Oh and batteries and sellotape.

icecream2965 · 01/11/2020 20:19

Nothing because I hate feeling rushed! Will probably regret this.

Loveatortie · 01/11/2020 20:24

Bugger all

Loveatortie · 01/11/2020 20:26

Take that back, friend just told me local supermarket doing 25%off 6 bottles wine, shoppingSmile

MirandaMarple · 01/11/2020 20:29

Nothing has changed since March for me.

mnahmnah · 01/11/2020 20:35

The main concern for people at my local retail park today appeared to be getting a McDonald’s! It was chaos. I was only popping to get wellies for DS as they are cheaper than online.

Everything else we need can be bought online. We’ve been doing click and collect for food all along. We haven’t been going to pubs or restaurants either. I’m hoping it is just for November and I can worry about Christmas shopping in December! Just trying to think of there’s anything else we have to get from a shop, rather than online....
