Mainly on Netflix as I don’t pay for anything else!

Thriller rather than horror - nothing supernatural!

Something like Silence of the Lambs which is one of my favourites.

There’s a thriller that’s just dropped on Netflix that stars Wunmi Mosaku. It is called His House. I haven’t seen it yet but it has 100% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Not really similar but check out Calibre. A fantastic little gem, and keeps you on your toes the entire time

I watched Shutter Island recently and enjoyed that.

Have you seen the Mindhunter series? You might really enjoy that if you are a fan of SoTL. I thought it was fabulous.

Two Israeli ones in English (they do excellent thrillers - Homeland was based on an Israeli show)

  • Operation Finale with Oscar Isaac and Ben Kingsley
  • The Red Sea Diving Resort with Chris Evans (American hunk not nerdy Brit)

It is called His House.

I got half way through this and turned it off because I didnt think it was any good. Did it pick up?

Thisisnotnormal69 · 31/10/2020 20:03

@GroundAlmonds this is firmly supernatural though isn’t it?? Think I watched the preview of it. I’m sure it is very good but for some reason anything remotely supernatural really freaks me out for ages! Anything human can be gory and scary though!

Misery is still one of my all time favourites. In fact, I might watch it agaaaain now. Kathy Bates is at her absolute best, it's incredible.

H1978 · 31/10/2020 20:37

Killer cove is a good thriller

RandomMess · 31/10/2020 20:39

Adding these to my list!

my favourite thing on Netflix is still Haunting of Hill House, yes scary ghost story but in a class of its own. And I don't like scary/horror usually.

Also a non-thriller but Queen's Gambit is incredible, binged it this week and didn't want it to end.

Letsallscreamatthesistene · 01/11/2020 14:51

Second Queens Gambit - really good

Frumpymummytotwo · 01/11/2020 16:31

I second the haunting of hill House and haunting of Bly Manor
