To get a better work life balance? If so, how did it work out for you?

I did and it’s been amazing. I’m in a high paid profession and after 20 years of it, we had saved enough to be comfortable, and I wanted more headspace to think about things other than work, less work travel etc. I’m in the same industry but in a lower paid/lower responsibility role. I had a year out, then found a role with a company that was delighted (being ‘overqualified’ puts a lot of employers off). I don’t regret it at all. Still use my skills, but switch off completely at 5pm. Are you thinking of doing similar OP?
