Happy Halloween Mumsnet! What are you up to today?

I'm just having my cuppa, the wind's proper blowing through the sycamore at the end of the garden & it's quite relaxing to listen to.

We're going to Lidl for packed lunch supplies shortly, ready for Monday. The girls' dad is going to set up a Halloween treasure hunt while we're out. Dd1 isn't fussed really but will go along with it for dd2.

I need to iron at some point, and bake for the coming week (they may be tomorrow jobs though). Dd1 wants to roast the pumpkin seeds & dd2 wants to make shrunken apple heads using a couple of the cookers I have left.

We'll watch a Halloween film at some point & something spooky for tea - dd2 suggested bangers & mash (fingers & brains - food colour in the mash) but I don't like mash :(

I’m making cornflake cakes and we will be shivering outside later eating them and hot dogs by the chiminea. DS GF is coming round and as tier 2 it has to be outside. Apparently it’s stopping raining about 4pm, here’s hoping! DH has put a huge tarpaulin up over the patio.

After DS GF has left we are watching a horror film, DH absolutely hates them. DS 19 and I love them. DH will be cushion peeking probably.

Valkadin, I can't stand horror either -it's the sounds & music that does it for me! I hope the weather dries up for you, it's miserable enough having to be outside without being wet too!
