Zero effort outfit ideas!

DH and I have kindly been invited round friends tonight for a 'Halloween' dinner and they are great ones for embracing a theme.
Us however, not so much.

Had a crazy busy week and not been able to it it any thought. That coupled with the fact supermarkets are going likely be rammed again this weekend means I really CBA to go looking for an outfit or face paints.

Soooo please can I have your ideas for something really easy we can put together from clothes/accessories we might already have at home? Nothing extravagant or time consuming, just something amusing that looks like we've at least tried to make an effort!

Do you have anything red you could wear with a pair of devil horns, and just go OTT with the makeup?

And some clothes that you can rag up for a zombie?

OK ...here goes for him..dress in all black clothes and make a cape out of a binliner ..then make him a tail out of the leg of old tights or stockings stuffed with anything to make it stiff! attatch to black trousers and your done other than draw him some fangs or a blood stained mouth with your red lippy! He is the devil...you dress in all white a pretty dress or skirt and top will do,strappy heels and sparkly make up ,make a quick halo out of tin foil and see if you can get a coat hanger to attatch it to then somehow balance on your head...will take all of 10 mins and the angel and devil can go a partying!!! most things should be in your cupboards or wardrobes and your done!!! Have fun ...or both in black clothes make tails as before and do make up as cats ...green eyes and mascara whiskers ...hope it helps! or skeletons black clothes draw on bone shapes on plain white paper stick to your clothes and your off!

My favourite not faff fancy dress was a friend of mine came dress for a party but the only think that was his costume was a badly written ' E'on his chest and a perfectly written 'E' on this back (A2 size) everyone was trying to guess what he came as.....he was a Goody and a Baddy.

No one guessed but it was fun trying. He let us know at the end of the evening

...Zulu could make it a couples costume.

Might it be possible to pull this off?

Carry a box of cornflakes and stick a toy knife in the side of the box - a serial killer!

A really easy one is cartoon style genius baddie scientists.
Use hairspray to make your hair stick out at angles, colour it with flour if you're dark haired as if you've just made an explosion etc. Wear a white coat or just professor style clothes, with warning signs or tape on them, old sunglasses with the lenses out, sellotaped up.. if you have shot glasses, keep them in your pocket and use those to drink out of at the dinner (bonus points for some food colouring you can surreptitiously add to them)!
Glow sticks to stir things with works well if you've a pound shop nearby

Write 666 somewhere discreet but visible, e.g. just below the ear, in black eyeliner. Dress normally (maybe a bit more black) and scowl intently a lot.

Lots and LOTS of sparkly highlighter all over your face and drink only red wine whilst brooding heavily and wincing every time someone speaks to you. Also wear lots of black.

Lots of places still allow friends to come round for dinner which is that the OP is doing. I can't but I could if I lived less than a mile up the road.

Parties would be fine if only 6 guests.

Dress like a teenager and roll your eyes and mutter "whatever" when anyone talks to you. Do not put down your phone.

I’m pregnant and am going for this sort of thing- pretty easy and suitable if not pregnant too (black leggings, black long sleeved top and bandages/toilet roll in a pinch).
