Spooky Halloween thread please

Life unbearably grim.
So come on give us your scary creepy stories....

That on Halloween we found out we would have to go back into a national lockdown meaning children would starve, people would lose jobs and homes and not get medical intervention they desperately need.

Driving home from work in the dark last night I saw a strange figure along the path at the side of the road.
As I passed I realised it was a tall man with a dc on his shoulders - she was wearing a Halloween outfit and carrying a glowing plastic pumpkin and had a pointy hat on!!
Hope nobody had a crash seeing them!
