Taskmaster-style party for us and the kids with 'trick or treat' style sweets as prizes and all getting dressed up. Maybe halloween themed film afterwards eg Addams Family.

Kote · 31/10/2020 00:35

No DC here so that makes things easier. We're currently living in the US where people go crazy for it so we're going for a walk around the neighbourhood to see all the crazy decorations! Can't wait Halloween Grin

Stompythedinosaur · 31/10/2020 00:45

I'm setting up a no touch halloween spooky trail in the woods near our house for the local kids. Also having a treasure hunt in the garden and a few games, followed by a film.

DS Gf will be in garden only and they are going to each carve a pumpkin, hotdogs and cornflake cakes and haribo as we always eat rubbish at Halloween dinnertime. We have a chiminea and outdoor sofas and DH has rigged a tarpaulin above the sofas as it’s going tO shower on and off all day. Making the best of it. After she goes home we will be watching horror films.

Corneliusmurphy · 31/10/2020 01:44

Halloween themed baking, pumpkin carving and a hunt-for-sweets treasure hunt in the dark with torches, spookyish film in the evening.

ThatDamnScientist · 31/10/2020 01:52

Halloween crafts and games. Hallloween disco and party food (just me and dd1 and dd2!). Childrens spooky film with dd2 and then later on once dd1 in bed, super scary film with dd2.

ThatDamnScientist · 31/10/2020 01:52

Oops! Scary film with dd1 not dd2! 😂

TwoZeroTwoZero · 31/10/2020 02:37

Dc getting dressed up and then will search for sweets that I'm going to hide around the house. We'll put spooky music on and the disco bulb in and then eat Hallowe'en buns and party food for tea. Might put a film on.

Christmas shopping 🎅

Mindymomo · 31/10/2020 11:31

Just got soaked walking the dog, sausages and mash for dinner and a scary movie and strictly later. There is very few pumpkins out in our village.

EternalOptimist7 · 31/10/2020 11:32

DD11 really doesn’t seem that bothered now that trick or treating is off so we’re just having giant hotdogs & mugs of Heinz tomato soup for tea. Fried onions just for me as I love them but DD & DH don’t like them. DD’s not really into films & I don’t enjoy scary/ horror movies so DH & I might watch an “ ordinary” film when she’s in bed.

wendz86 · 31/10/2020 11:37

Done some crafts this morning. This afternoon we are doing pass the parcel, apple bobbing, a halloween trail and kids will pretend trick or treat at back door.
Also going to have a picnic dinner and mini dance party,

Viv0321 · 31/10/2020 12:33

Sounds great

This morning I set up a halloween treasure hunt for my little boy and I made halloween pumpkins with different colour batter etc.

Now hes watching a halloween episode of just add magic, later we’ll be putting our halloween outfits on (including the pets) and having a halloween themed picnic dinner.

gggrrrargh · 31/10/2020 13:10

We’ve carved our pumpkins, now to have a find the Halloween sweets more in the style of an Easter egg hunt. We’ve also been making lunch and treats that look Halloween like, such as drawing Pumpkin faces on the satsumas Smile

PatchworkElmer · 31/10/2020 13:13

Halloween treasure hunt this morning, then some games (Halloween bingo, pin the smile on the skeleton). Making pumpkin biscuits after lunch, going for a walk to look for decorated houses- then trick or treating my parents (who are in our bubble). Reading Meg and Mog before bed.

VampireSnail · 31/10/2020 17:21

Last night I read Meg and mog to my dd. Will read it again tonight with some other Halloween books.

Today we have:
Made spider and cobweb fairy cakes (don't look quite like the Pinterest ones...)
Done a treasure hunt in the dark using a torch
Kids been to the park dressed up
Drawn spooky things and stuck them around the house
Now watching The Corpse Bride in the dark

stargirl1701 · 31/10/2020 17:43

We have:

carved neep lanterns
made Hallowe'en pancakes
painted ghost leaves
made marshmallow eyeballs
painted toilet roll bats
eaten pumpkin shaped carrots with hummus
made worm jelly
watched the CCC concert
eaten tomato soup with 'bat' bread
watched E.T.
drank ghost milkshakes
made a spider and pumpkin with Kapla
prepped pumpkin quesadilla for dinner
got the apples in the tin bath for dookin'
mixed treacle & syrup for treacle scones
baked and iced ghost biscuits
eaten blackberry & cheese skewers
jumped in puddles and got soaked
gathered ivy for the season table
made pumpkin rice crispie treats

Normally, we just carve neep lanterns & go guising! I made a bit more of an effort this year! 🎃

stargirl1701 · 31/10/2020 17:52

The neeps!

What are you doing for Halloween?
Howmanysleepsnow · 31/10/2020 18:09

I tied bags of sweets to glow sticks to hunt for in the park in the dark (and rain). Will do Apple bobbing later, and have soup with ghost bread for dinner.

Breathmiller · 31/10/2020 18:35

Teen DS just did a scavenger hunt round the house for his little brother.

Hid some Halloween lollies, oranges (and a bag of tortilla chips 🤷‍♀️) round the house. Lights off and he got a torch and some clues. Best one apparently was the orange hidden up teen ds' sleeve.
We've been a bit crap this year but youngest did get dressed up for school yesterday complete with having to do face paint first thing so I'm taking that as a win in a very busy time. 😇
Trying to find a 'scary' movie for all of us to watch.
9 year old ds. 17 ds and me and dh. Youngest has a habit of wanting to watch stuff at the time then being scared at bedtime so nothing too scary. Any ideas?
Got some apples to bob for.
Haven't even done a pumpkin this year which i genuinely forgot about and feel guilty for. I usually like going all out with the pumpkin carving

coffeetofunction · 31/10/2020 19:03

Full fancy dress for everyone, hot dogs for tea, bobbing for apples, and scarry film. Happy house

DappledThings · 31/10/2020 20:13

Bugger all, same as ever!

OhTheRoses · 31/10/2020 20:15
