Ideas for a Halloween trail in the house

DD is 12 and I have bought her some treats. We usually have a tea party and go to a specific event so she’s disappointed.
I’ve done these things when she was younger but struggling a bit now she’s older.
Any ideas?

How a about a treasure hunt with clues she has to solve and at the end there is a bag of sweets? I’m doing this this year.

Sorry, maybe you were looking for something more specific. You could take a close up photo of something and she has to find it to find the next photo and so on.

I actually struggled with the clues. It was much easier when she was small. I did an Easter one and it was far too simple.

Oh and no printer in the house (otherwise that totally would have done!)

Send the photos to her phone??

This website has a hint you can set up in your house easily. It’s a printable but you could just copy the clues out.

Hope this helps

I've painted some takeaway tubs with uv paint and will put some treats in each one and send the dc out to find them in the garden with uv torches.

I've hidden sweets around the house and got the dc to hunt with normal torches and the lights all off before.

That’s a good idea. There are some good ones online you can use.

What about a photo scavenger hunt? Better if you can have teams but make a list of Halloween related things they need to spot and send them out on a hunt. They have to take a photo to prove they found the item.

I bought the Lanka Kade Halloween figures and I’m going to hide them around the house for them to find. You could draw a pumpkin/witch/ghost/vampire or whatever and hide them around the house instead with a treat underneath each one.

We’re baking a black cat cake and going to watch Halloween films too.
