I dread to think. Probably about 10-15. I drink 3 before I get showered in the morning. Always have drunk tons of it. Blush

Keepyourfaith70 · 29/10/2020 23:22

@lushers ah carnation milk in tea reminds me of being a kid.. My dad used to make tea with carnation milk for us :) not had one in donkeys.. I feel if I do I will get addicted. I've started bringing my last cup up to bed with me before I brush my teeth I read and have my tea and go on mumsnet 😂

8-10. Enjoy them all & don't feel it's any problem. Tho I don't have sugar.

LimaFoxtrotCharlie · 29/10/2020 23:23
  1. Earl Grey (not Twinings) with milk
Toontown · 29/10/2020 23:24

Worked it down to 4. Flipping love it. We're self isolation and ran out of milk today. No tea from 7am until 3pm until I rang a mate in despiration I almost chewed my arm off (and the child that made pancakes using up the whole of the last pint managed to live somehow)

Toontown · 29/10/2020 23:24

We're in...

Keepyourfaith70 · 29/10/2020 23:25

Does tea contribute to your daily water in take? I'm definitely drinking well over my 2 litres a day!

Zero

Quaagars · 29/10/2020 23:45

I NEED my cup of tea in a morning, I don't wake up properly without it Grin
I really don't drink a lot during the day though.
I'd say about 3.
One in the morning, one around lunchtime and one early evening around 5ish.

Quaagars · 29/10/2020 23:46

Earl Grey with milk?! Nooooooo Grin I love Earl Grey, that's what I drink, but with milk?! Doesn't that taste weird lol
Yippeeforme · 29/10/2020 23:57

I drink at least 8, and decaf at night is extra! 😂

icecream2965 · 29/10/2020 23:57

It took me a long time to get to this point. Much happier stomach.

I am struggling to understand how to cut down from here, as if I put a teabag in 1/2 cup of water surely that's the same amount of caffeine as 1 cup...so do I brew a normal tea and drink half the amount? Obvs there is the 'don't leave the teabag in as long' stance but that's a ridiculous idea Smile.

It's only green tea but I would like to do without it, minus the horrendous death's door feeling of caffeine withdrawal Grin

LooksLikeImStuckHere · 30/10/2020 00:01

Usually 4 but only decaf in the afternoons or it sends me a bit loopy.
If it’s been a long day, I may go to 5 Brew

Chicchicchicchiclana · 30/10/2020 00:02

2 or 3 mugs.

QueenPaws · 30/10/2020 00:31

I can drink it right up to bedtime and still be out like a light Blush love a cup before bed

midsomermurderess · 30/10/2020 00:33

'Does tea contribute to your daily water in take?' Of course it does, it's liquid.

LampLighterInn · 30/10/2020 08:08

🙋🏻‍♀️ could be as many as 10 per day for me. Clipper is my bag of choice, builder's strength, no sugar. DH enables me as we both wfh.

dementedpixie · 30/10/2020 08:09

3 or at a push 4. It makes me pee too much to drink more

rottiemum88 · 30/10/2020 08:11

Maybe 1, I'm a white tea convert after seeing it on a recent episode of Inside the Factory GrinConfused I'll always have 3 or 4 coffees though.

vanillandhoney · 30/10/2020 08:12

Lately I've been on a tea kick - 3-4 mugs a day here. Normally I prefer coffee.

monkeytennis97 · 30/10/2020 08:13

2
Coffee-2/3

DrDetriment · 30/10/2020 08:13

2 - 3. I'm caffeine sensitive so it should really be fewer but I love tea. Decaf isn't the same nor herbals. I quite like hot water with lemon so I'm trying to have more of that.

Crocky · 30/10/2020 08:15

I don’t think I want to count. If I am sat down I have a brew in my hand. I don’t have milk or sugar so not worried about the calories though.

elQuintoConyo · 30/10/2020 08:18

8am
9am
11am
2pm
8/9pm (when I get home)

In the last couple of months I've had to pee in the night whether I've had a tea or not, so I sometimes take one to bed at 10 and read fart about online

I'm abroad and can get either Tetley's, PGTips or Hornimans. So, Tetley's it is, although I'd much prefer Yorkshire. Oh and no sugar.

Chemenger · 30/10/2020 08:21

None. One cup of coffee in the morning then mint tea all day. Tea makes me constipated (tmi) and coffee keeps me awake all night. The joys of being old!
