Microwave magic

Lighthearted obviously ... my DM is from generation where microwave cooking was the absolute rage (where all recipes and accessories involved one cook easy dinners)

As in cooking from scratch (not micro ready cook meals)

Forty years on and she’s still at it - ingredients in bowl and zapped! - is it just me who is locked into 1982 parental cooking?

Aaah remember my Mum's Microwave cookbook! She did meringues in the microwave and very nice too.

Nowadays, she's hooked on the tabletop Halogen Cooker! To be fair they are great. Cooks everything quicker and switches off when timer runs out, unlike an oven.

I know a lovely couple like this - they must be in their mid 70s. Do not use their cooker at all and have two microwaves. A couple of the best meals I’ve had have been at theirs!
