Anyone ever drilled through a water pipe in the wall as they didn’t realise?

If so, how did you fix it and how much did it end up costing?

Not quite , but the IKEA kitchen fitters drilled through a pipe and we were without water for 3 days! Cost more than 200euros to fix!

My DH drilled through the central heating pipe in the floor, had to get a plumber out , drained the whole system and replaced a piece of pipe
cant remember how much it cost though as it was a friends H.

We've done it twice! First time we already had builders in on another job so when I put a nail into a pipe they sorted it cheaply.

Second time it was in the middle of the pandemic and Friday night. A lovely local bloke fixed it. I think that was around £150.

Both times I think they drilled into access the pipe which was buried in the wall. Then cut the leaky section out and put in a new section. All plastic pipework.
