What on earth is this stain??!

I'm hoping the answer to this is obvious, but I'm confused!

1yo has just had her nap. She slept curled up on one end of the cot mainly out of sight. She sleeps face down with her bum in the air. This stain was there when she woke up. It absolutely stinks, I think more of poo than vomit, although hard to tell! Nothing in her nappy, nothing down her top or anything to suggest she has been sick. What could it be? It's wet and slightly brown, but I don't understand where it's come from! Is there anything obvious I've missed? I had the baby monitor on the whole time and heard nothing.

I should add she's absolutely fine in herself, eating and running around now.

If it doesn't appear to have come from her, is there a drip in the ceiling or something?

I think it is sick, she might have puked then moved to the other end of the cot

Nothing coming from the ceiling whatsoever! Nothing in/from her ear from what I can tell, all seems normal there. Nothing on her breath really either. She stayed that end the whole nap, and there's no smell or stuff in her hair/face/neck or anywhere! I'm so confused

Sweat, possibly mixed with dirt?

Is there anything under the cover that could have been 'activated' by sweat / dribble?

It smells too horrible to be sweat! Nothing on the mattress either It must be vomit, but no other evidence for that? Plus I heard absolutely nothing on the monitor the whole time! Very strange

Was the stain there before her nap? Maybe you missed it before

It could have been @JellyTots2009 but her sleeping bag/nappy etc. were clean and odourless this morning, and she hasn't been in there since!

It is a mystery!
