What to put out for distanced trick or treating

Like many, we are decorating our house for Halloween and leaving out sweets for the children who will walk around the area on Halloween weekend.

First, will more people be out tomorrow or on Saturday or about the same?

Second, I'm not sure how to pack the sweets. I was going to put a few sweets in separate food bags such as 3-4 lollies and chewy sweets in plastic bags on a box or something at the end of the drive. Maybe 25 boxes of four, some to go out tomorrow and some on Saturday. Does that sound about right?

Boxes? I mean bags. I have plastic food bags.

Or should I just put a load of sweets in a box. Separate bags seems cleaner, but a lot of bags!

I am putting pre packaged haribo packs out pegged to string across my gate, and lollipops jammed into a shoebox with a brick in it to keep it in place. My original plan was to stick them in the top of a pumpkin but i forgot to buy an extra pumpkin in the shop. I feel bad closing my gate but it's probably for the best. I have lots of decorations too.

Pegging them is a good idea
