Has anyone seen any?

I've never seen any in the UK, sadly. I grew up in the US and it's amazing, but here I have to make it myself. I did used to be able to buy pumpkin pie filling in the tin at the supermarket from the American foods section, though now if I want it, I have to order it online (and it's expensive!). It's hard to find a nice pie pumpkin here to make it yourself.

Never seen any sadly but my local sainsbury's does sell the tin of pumpkin pie filling if you wanted to make your own

Nope never seen one. They’re not hard to make from scratch though

I’ve made them before but really pushed for time, wondered if they do. It’s a shame. Love a pumpkin pie!

I did get an enormous one from Costco a couple of years ago at this time of year but haven't been recently to see if they are doing it again!

The recipe on the cans of Libby's pumpkin is good. Use a ready-made pastry shell for extra ease.

Really Easy to make with tinned pumpkin but regularly sold in Whole Foods Market if you’re in London.

peachypetite · 29/10/2020 13:54

@Em4815 that sounds amazing!

ThatDamnScientist · 29/10/2020 13:58

You could get the filling and a premade base ?

peachypetite · 29/10/2020 19:36

Yeh I know how to make one I’m just feeling lazy at nearly 36 weeks pregnant. Grin

Never seen one but it's not hard to make with roasted pumpkin.

Pies are definitely underrated here. So many yummy ones in the US!

Hoctober · 29/10/2020 19:57

Always had to make my own, never seen any for sale here anywhere

funtimefrank · 29/10/2020 20:55

This was my dads favourite dessert. My mum had a recipe in the 'international' section of the good housekeeping cooking bible she was given as a wedding present and still refers to 52 years later.

No though, I can never find pumpkin pie and have to make my own and it's only me that likes it now my dad has passed away. I yearn for a slice.
