Anyone know of this craft product ? You use wire to make shapes then dip the wires into the stuff and it forms like a kind of plastic glass

we used to do it with white glue, maybe diluted with water, and food colouring, and dip the wires into that

Lardlizard · 29/10/2020 08:06

I remember begging for this for Christmas as a kid. I could never get it to work and I was so disappointed.

My sister made the much better choice of asking for the foolproof Shaker Maker which made it even worse.

I remember this too from the 70’s but don’t remember it being called fantasy dip!

DramaAlpaca · 29/10/2020 23:35

Ooh, I got a set of this for Christmas in 70s. I loved it, I can still recall the smell of the paint stuff.

WhereverIGoddamnLike · 29/10/2020 23:38

Isnt that just epoxy resin? Jewellers use it. Artists use it. You can get it lots and lots of places.

This was a toy back around 1975 or so. I was given a box of this for my birthday. It worked pretty well as I remember. (though I never made anything as nice as this video)
