Letterbox friendly gift ideas for DD needed please

DD is away for her birthday (midway through a 6 week placement ) so I'm looking for something to send her on the actual day.

She's already had her presents from us as it wasn't practical to take them with her but I want to send something fun, cheery or whatever to make her smile.

Where she's staying doesn't have anywhere for things to be left safely and she will be out on placement all day so it needs to be something that will fit through a letterbox.

Any ideas please?

It's a bit of a cliche on here now but Bloom and Wild flowers are lovely.

PotteringAlong · 28/10/2020 17:37

I was going to say bloom and wild!

gretagreengrapes · 28/10/2020 17:38

First things that come to mind are letterbox flowers (eg bloom and wild), sweets (etsy) or brownies! Not super out there adventurous but could make her smile.

One of my friends got given a letterbox cheese toasty subscription once, a bit niche I know!

There’s some sites that do letter box chocolate or letter box sweets

Titsinknicks · 28/10/2020 17:39

NIO cocktails

ooh that's an idea, thanks both.

I don't suppose they come a "vase" bag do they? (just in case there's nothing to use as a vase where she's staying)

Biscuiteers do letterbox boxes. They're extremely 3xpensive for what they are but they do taste good! (And they're beautiful)

Piglets pantry afternoon teas are nice and letterbox friendly they don't have sandwiches in so they can be posted .

CompleteBarstool · 28/10/2020 17:48

Brownies would be good (if they'd last for a while as --unlike her mother- - she's quite disciplined when it comes to treats!)

movingonup20 · 28/10/2020 18:58

willowywillow · 28/10/2020 19:01

Earrings, small necklace, a bracelet, a nice ring. Some of these would even fit in a birthday card.

ThomasHardyPerennial · 28/10/2020 19:02

Gnaw (chocolate brand) do letterbox selections, I love their chocolate.

MadeForThis · 28/10/2020 19:21

Cookies, you can get them iced with a message.

DaffodilsAndDandelions · 28/10/2020 19:39

Letterbox wine is a real thing. It comes in a flat plastic bottle in a thin box.

HomerRoberts · 28/10/2020 19:42

Not on the High Street have a selection of letterbox gifts

AngusThermopyle · 28/10/2020 19:45

Two slices of cake in a card from SPONGE. !
My friend sent me one this week, it's lovely.

LER83 · 28/10/2020 19:47

Don't buy her flowers is a good site that put together different boxes. There are lots of book ones if she likes reading? I use tea time bookshop. I've seen lots of chocolate and cake ones on Google.
