Hammer Toes

Hi,

DC aged 8 has what I assume are hammer toes (toes next to big toe very noticeably curl/not straight). Runs in DH's family. No pain. They were spotted when DC was checked over as a baby and commented on but no action was needed.

Podiatrists / GPs should I take them to get them checked out? Is there any treatment ? For my DC it seems more of a cosmetic issue?
