Your “Santa in a SMALL house tips”?

Completely inspired by reading the “Anyone forgot to do Xmas for their kids” thread this morning.

DH and I don’t have children yet, but hope to one day. So I kind of enjoy reading these threads as a way of gathering little hints and tips to use later on.

However, we live in a really small bungalow. On that thread, there’s a lot of talk of “downstairs” and “fireplaces”, to which I’m just like, “Nope, wouldn’t work for us”.

Can I ask other small-home people for your best prepping for Christmas Eve tips to read?
